Earth Festival is an event that aims to promote ecological values. “A small change multiplied by billions of people gives a global change” – the organizers claim. This year’s festival slogan is “I love this country”. Artists will present selected pieces that will illustrate the most beautiful places in Poland.
“During this year’s, and importantly, the seventh edition of the festival, we want to focus on our beautiful Poland. We take care of the places we love, so with us and future generations in mind, we want to promote an idea that will encourage joint care for the environment in our immediate surroundings. Think globally, act locally – this slogan is closer to us than ever before. And this year in Uniejów, we want to encourage this in particular,” says the festival’s originator and co-organizer, Mariusz Woźniczka.
The following will appear on stage: Maryla Rodowicz, Alicja Majewska, Kamil Bednarek, Zakopower, Staszek z Gór, Julia Pietrucha, Wiktor Dyduła, Kaliber 44 feat. Fokus & Rahim & Kleszcz, Wiktor Waligóra, Natalia Nykiel, Majka Jeżowska, Mała Army Janosika, Weronika Korthals, Konin Gospel Choirand they will be accompanied by Stokłosa Collective Orchestra under the direction of Jan Stokłosa.
A big surprise for the audience will be the performance of veterans of the Polish rap scene, namely Caliber 44but also Focus and Rahim. The duo that created Pocahontas he told us why he appeared on Polsat.
“I think it’s a metric,” Rahim joked.
– In the hip-hop world, we have achieved a status similar to stars from other music genres that perform here. It’s nice that ours was invited. On the other hand, hip-hop is so strong in this country that omitting it is pretending that nothing is happening, but it is happening – added the rapper.
Less than a month after the performance in Uniejów, the duo will perform at Pol’and’Rock. How do I comment on inviting them to the party by Jurek Owsiak?
– First of all, we are shocked that we are invited there, secondly, the fans who come to this festival are shocked that we will be there – said Fokus.
– We will be there with a live band and that is a strong thing, because we have great musicians. We have proven ourselves at large festivals, including the final Men’s Playingwhere we were very well received. So after that I think we are ready to enter Pol’and’Rock and not be booed. We have a good team that feels the music. We feel this team. Together we are strong – added Rahim.
