“White Lotus” is one of the greatest television phenomena of recent years. The HBO series created by Mike White tells the story of a group of wealthy guests of the luxury resorts of the titular hotel chain, where class conflicts, moral tensions and personal dramas are revealed. Each season is a closed story taking place in a different place – the first in Hawaii, the second in Sicily, and the third in Thailand. We already know where the fourth installment of “White Lotus” will take place.
“In the fourth season, I want to move away from the typical sound of waves crashing on the rocks, but there is always room for more murders in the White Lotus hotels,” said Mike White at the end of the third season.
Variety reports that the creators of the famous series did not extend the marketing contract with the Four Seasons hotel chain. Now they are looking for replacements – the favorites include, among others: Le Lutetia and Ritz hotels. Le Lutetia is a five-star property on the Seine, located in the elegant Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. It was the second home of many iconic figures, including Charlie Chaplin, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso and Josephine Baker. Another Parisian palace considered for season four is the Ritz Paris, another five-star hotel that was a favorite hangout for celebrities such as Coco Chanel, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Marcel Proust.
Although HBO refused to comment on this matter, “Variety” confirms that the fourth season of the production will definitely take place in France. The plot is to take place mainly in the south of the country, where Nice and Monaco are considered. The scenes in Paris will be a subplot.
