The acting remake of “Lilo and Stitch” has just hit large screens, and already arouses great emotions – and not only among fans of animated Disney classics. Although the film has just started their cinema adventure, many viewers wonder when you will be able to watch “Lilo and Stitch” online – whether as part of the VOD platforms or in the Disney+offer.
At the moment, the only place where you can see the acting version of the adventures of Lilo and the defiant alien are cinemas. The production started with impetus – after the first weekend it already accumulated $ 341.7 million. This is the result that places her just behind such hits as “Thunderbolts” or “Captain America: New wonderful world”. Such numbers mean one thing – the film will not quickly disappear from the repertoire.
Home viewing fans will have to arm themselves with a little patience. Although “Lilo and Stitch” was created under Disney’s banner and already has its own page on Disney+, we will not find a specific release date yet. You can only watch the trailer and short material from behind the scenes.
On the basis of earlier Disney Prime Minister, however, it can be predicted that the film will appear on Disney+ about three months after the cinema debut. This was the case with “Moana 2”, which hit the platform after 105 days, and “Mufasy: King of the Lion” – available after 96 days. If this schedule is maintained, “Lilo and Stitch” will debut on Disney+ at the turn of August and September.
However, before the film goes to the Disney+ directory as part of the subscription, it will probably appear earlier on popular VOD platforms – to buy or rent. And here the matter looks a bit different. In the past, Disney productions went to digital rentals after about 40-65 days from the cinema premiere.
“Captain America: New Wonderful World” was available online after 42 days, while “Moana 2” needed 62 days. With such ranges, it can be assumed that we will watch the new “Lilo and Stitch” online – for an additional fee – around the beginning of July. But beware – due to the great results in the Box Office, the distributor may delay the digital premiere to gain as much as possible on tickets. In this case, the debut on VOD can move even to August.
