Warsaw SerialCon: Michelle Fairley for the first time in Poland

The unforgettable series Catelyn Stark, i.e. Michelle Fairley, will be the star of the second edition of BNP Paribas Warsaw. The actress known from such productions as the cult “Game of Thrones” and “The White Princess”, “Gangs of London” and “The Serpent Queen” will receive the Cutting Edge Award. During last year’s edition, the statuette was received by Jared Harris.

“Michelle Fairley is an actress who, with her unique charisma, emotional intensity and artistic courage, redefined the image of female heroes in global series. Her role as Catelyn Stark in “Game of Thrones” made television history – combining majesty and strength with deep, authentic humanity. For years, she has been proving that real acting is the art of crossing the boundaries – between epic fiction and the intimate truth of emotions. Her creations in productions such as “The White Princess, “Gangs of London” and “The Serpent Queen” show extraordinary versatility and constant search for new forms of expression. Her heroines can be harsh and even ruthless, but they always reveal emotional depth and love that drives them to action. Her creations never leave the viewer indifferent,” we read in the justification for the award.

The actress will receive the award during the opening of this year’s BNP Warsaw SerialCon.

The CUTTING EDGE award is given to creators who blur the boundaries between the world of TV series and film. They are constantly looking for new and original ways of telling episodic stories and breaking genre conventions. They follow paths that require commitment, effectiveness and consistency. The award aims to distinguish personalities who tackle bold and significant topics, promote diversity and break stereotypes through their actions.
