The script was written by Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, the creators of “The Unbearable Weight of Great Talent,” starring Nicolas Cage. The film is produced by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Gormican will also direct.

The first one “Anaconda” premiered in 1997. It was about a documentary film crew who are kidnapped by a mad hunter who dreams of capturing an anaconda, the world’s largest snake. The unlucky filmmakers are supposed to act as bait.
Starring Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voight, and Ice Cube, the film received poor reviews and six Golden Raspberry nominations, but grossed $145 million worldwide.
The new comedy “Anaconda” is said to be in very early pre-production. The actors have not yet signed deals with a studio.
