Two leaders in Polish cinemas! “Dune” and “Kung Fu Panda 4” reign supreme

“Dune: Part Two”, during its second weekend of screening in the USA and Canada, it generated revenues of USD 44 million (USD 157 million in total), adding to this amount as much as USD 81 million from other countries, including an impressive USD 20 million from China. This is the best opening of a Hollywood film in this country this year and the best opening on the local market for Denis Villeneuve in his entire career.

“Dune: Part Two” has already collected USD 367.5 million globally; current estimates assume that production will ultimately stop at the level of USD 750-800 million. It is worth noting that the film will only now debut in Japan.

The animated film, a continuation of the iconic adventures of the panda who, by a twist of fate, became the Dragon Warrior, had a great opening weekend. “Kung Fu Panda 4” started with the result of USD 58.3 million – a better result than forecasts announced. These revenues include USD 22.2 million from 41 other countries, including as much as USD 1.6 million from Poland, which was in the TOP 5 most important foreign markets for this film (right after Spain, Mexico, Indonesia and Vietnam). Kung Fu Panda 4 starts with a really good result of USD 80.5 million globally.

To sum up, “Kung Fu Panda 4” has so far earned its creators as much as $80.5 million.
