About a joint project Tom Cruise and Alejandra G. Inarritu reported by Deadline. The plot of the production is not known yet. All we know is that the Hollywood star will play the main role in the film.
The film is to be an original story, the script for which was written in 2023 by Inarritu and Sabina Berman, Alevander Dinelaris and Nicolas Giacobone.
Director of films such as “The Revenant” and “Birdman” in recent weeks he met with several of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Tom Cruise. The star sought this meeting as soon as he learned that the director from Mexico was ready to make another film.
Inarritu’s last English-language film was “Apparition” from 2015. The film brought its creator his second Oscar for best directing in a row. The actor also won an Oscar Leonardo DiCaprio – it was the first Oscar in his career. In 2022, Inarritu returned behind the camera with a Spanish-language film “Bardo, a false chronicle of a handful of truths”.
Appearing with Inarritu is a big deal for the actor a chance for an acting Oscar, which is still not on the account. So far Tom Cruise was nominated for this award four timesincluding once as a producer for a film “Top Gun: Maverick”.
Cruise’s immediate plans include the premiere of the eighth part of “Mission: Impossible” with his participation, as well as a film by Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity”), which is to be shot on the International Space Station.
