“This record explodes from the speaker.” Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds return to Poland for two concerts

“I hope the album will have the same impact on listeners as it had on me,” he says Nick Cave about the upcoming album “Wild God”, which will be released on August 30. The title track was chosen for promotion “Wild God” (check!).

This will be the first material signed with the banner Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for five years – in 2019 “Ghosteen” appeared.

“This record explodes from the speaker and I am carried away by it. It is a complex album, but it is also deep and joyfully contagious. When recording a record, we never have any grand plan. Rather, albums reflect the emotional state of the authors and musicians who played them. When listening to new songs, it seems like we’re happy,” the singer adds.

As part of the promotion of “Wild God”, the group will return to Poland for two concerts, which will take place in Łódź (Atlas Arena, October 10) and Krakow (Tauron Arena, October 11). Limited pre-sale of Alter Art will start on March 21 at 10:00. Open ticket sales for the concert start on March 22 at 10:00.

The new album was produced by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and mixed by David Fridmann. Cave began writing the album on New Year’s Day 2023. During sessions at Miraval in Provence and Soundtree in London, Bad Seeds added their unique alchemy, with additional contributions Colin Greenwood (bass) i Luis Almau (nylon guitar, acoustic guitar).

“‘Wild God’… this record is no joke, it hits hard. It uplifts you. It moves you. I love it,” says Nick Cave.
