This is what Jabba’s Barge looks like from LEGO. It’s gigantic and beautiful

LEGO’s decision to establish cooperation with the Star Wars brand can be considered one of the best shots in business history. Popular blocks from Denmark have gained a new life thanks to entering the world of a galaxy far, far away. The sets have been extremely popular for over two decades, and the shelves of fans of this universe feature fighters, transporters, buildings and troops known from films and TV series.

And it so happens that celebrating the 25th anniversary of the combined brands is the perfect opportunity to give fans a strong, blocky hit. The company decided to create a new flagship model that, at least theoretically, has everything. It contains a lot of great figurines, an iconic location known from the film, and guarantees a meticulous reproduction of the location – thanks to as many as 4,000 elements. Sounds appealing? This time we won’t leave her on the shore.

As soon as the box with the blocks arrived at my door, I knew that a long and interesting adventure awaited me. The characteristic thud on the floor by the courier suggested that the set was one of those powerful ones – it was not the LEGO that we found under the Christmas tree. he is a powerful heavyweight fighter in a large box, whose wealth shines before the eyes. After looking through all the pages of the packaging, I was terrified – it wouldn’t fit on the shelf!

The manufacturer informs that the vehicle has dimensions . All this will be created by combining each other precisely. After opening the box, we see boards showing artwork from the films, and finally we reach the first package. Inside you will find two boxes with two separate instructions. For many of us, this will be the longest reading this year, because the volumes presenting the subsequent steps of building are really interesting.

Dividing the construction site into two boxes makes things much easier. Especially since each of the two packages contains almost 20 smaller bags with elements. I must admit that . We open the bags very quickly because this is how we move on to the next steps. Very quickly I started to experience the “one more box” syndrome – so instead of finishing at number 10, I finished the entire box. If one bag folds so quickly, why do I need a break?

Let’s add satisfaction to this. Even the theoretically less interesting element, which is the chassis (base?) of the barge, is a lot of fun. The structure holds very well and is a lot of fun to build. The design has been well thought out, we don’t create oddities that fall apart in your hands. – this is the standard that LEGO has accustomed us to.

However, the real magic begins with time. Tiny rooms would certainly benefit from more space, but it cannot be denied that a mini kitchen or armory with a cell steal the hearts of builders and observers. And this is still a cheaper option than the desired kitchen renovation of some of you. Ultimately, we are pleased with the fact that a lot of attention was paid to what is hidden inside. We can look there thanks to the opening structure and enjoy the details and life of our figures. They have some really interesting stuff there!

Suffice it to say that when assembling it feels like another modular LEGO building, where rooms and equipment play the main role. You can forget that this is not a powerful space ship, but a charming set of rooms and buildings. LEGO managed to combine two brilliant, yet distant brick approaches to creating sets. Fans of details will be pleased. , because every space is well-arranged and full of life.

Although the tested set is respectable, it does not pose too much of a challenge for less experienced builders. I had the opportunity to assemble it with two pairs of hands, and although I have slightly more experience with LEGO than my companion, we both definitely had a great time and our work was not interrupted by any ambiguities or building errors. This is due to three factors – firstly, we were incredibly attentive. But above all, the project was prepared very clearly. . Even batches of fixing many of the same pieces are interrupted by “extra tasks” that keep our attention and focus.

In addition to all this, there is the division of labor, an element I have already mentioned. Small batches of blocks are easier to assemble because it’s harder to get lost in them. Finding elements is simple and does not require us to arrange them, as is the case with large sets. Yes, but let’s make sure that someone older will accompany them while assembling – just to be sure and have fun.

A powerful LEGO set prepared for the 25th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars brand is . Jabba’s barge has never been so powerful, and the vehicle, consisting of almost 4,000 elements, is almost as large as the one prepared by the filmmakers for shooting the desert scenes (you will see it in the manual). And apart from the vehicle itself, we also get a richly decorated interior and a whole set of figures:

The biggest fans may complain that the set lacks, for example, the sarlacc’s pit – it is a separate set that will help complete the scene. Ultimately, however, the whole thing is impressive and takes up to a dozen hours of construction. It’s a really successful composition in a popular universe.
