But even though I sang very quietly, my father saw in it some values and gently, year after year, fueled these interests, encouraging development in this field,” she recalled.

In 2022, Niemen recalled the true message of her father’s song. “‘It’s a Strange World’ is not a political manifesto. It is actually an expression of pain caused by doing seemingly small, but very hurtful things in one-on-one relationships. Of course, we can easily translate it into broader contexts, including the context of what is happening is happening now. With all this, let’s remember what the author had in mind,” she said.
