Recently, while preparing a text on the subject, I thought – okay, it will be expensive, but that’s probably nothing compared to such truly exceptional models. After all, all you need to do is find an unopened 3G from the premiere in the attic (it’s not that easy) and you can easily get tens, if not hundreds of thousands of zlotys for it at an auction. In this case, however, we are talking about collector’s value and the value given to it over time.
And have there been or are there models that are so absurdly expensive by definition? Yes, there are quite a few of them. In the case of these, however, it is not about exceptional technological functions. They do not have cameras straight from NASA or cosmically fast processors. In fact, using one of the most expensive models today would not be at all pleasant, because in terms of the most important parameters they are already… weak. The feature that increases the value is something else. It is about design and accessories.
I won’t hide the fact that the search didn’t take too long. This topic was introduced some time ago and it allows you to easily see what the most expensive models looked like. Among them we can find only Apple phones. The iPhone has always been characterized by a fairly high price, but in this case we are talking about even higher amounts. Here is the top five:
- iPhone 4S Elite Gold by Stuart Hughes – $9.4 million
- iPhone 4 Diamond Rose Edition – $8 million
- Gold Striker iPhone 3GS Supreme – $3.2 million
- iPhone 3G Kings Button – $2.5 million
The most expensive model, the Falcon (which is basically an iPhone 6 in disguise), reigns supreme on the list, being several times more expensive than the second-placed model. It looks like this:
Its price is mainly due to 3 elements.
The entire casing of the phone has been covered with a large amount of platinum which makes the phone drip with luxury. But that’s not all, because on the “back” of the device there is a huge and . It looks impressive, no doubt about it.
Another thing that drives up the price is the fact that only one of these phones was ever produced. It was bought by the wife of an Indian billionaire, who also happens to be one of the richest men in the world.
