This could be his best role! Nicolas Cage in a thriller you don’t expect

Nicolas Cage Again, he enters the screen in full thriller. In the film “Surfer“He plays a man who after years returns to his hometown on the Australian coast, where he has to face a group of aggressive surfers. The hero played by Nicolas Cage returns to his hometown after many years spent in the United States. He wants to find peace on the beach, where as a child he spent the most beautiful moments of his life. However, he does not expect that a group of local surfers does not intend to tolerate his presence. After he is humiliated by them – and in front of his son – he decides to go away and fight for his place.

What begins as an ordinary quarrel quickly turns into a strong game. The hero of Cage does not intend to give up, and the tension increases with every minute.

Lorcan Finnegan, the creator of the psychological thriller “Vivarium”, is responsible for directing the film. The script was written by Thomas Martin, who worked, among others At “Sheriff’s Star” and “Ripper Street: The secret of Kuba Ripper”.

One of the strongest production points are photos by Radosław Ładczuk, a Polish operator known from “peasants”, “You are God” and the Dark “Babadook”.

The film is an Australian-Irish co-production, and the photos were taken on the west coast of Australia, in picturesque Yallingup. After the “Surfer” festival shows will go to theaters on April 11, 2024.

Will Cage surprise the viewers with its charismatic role again? Everything indicates that yes. The first announcements suggest that “Surfer” will be a thriller full of tension, in which the fight for the beach will become a metaphor for a much greater conflict.
