They got rid of him from “Got Talent” without any regrets. Later, Podsiadło became the biggest star in Poland

Dawid Podsiadlo (check!) in the fall of 2022, he released the album “Lata twentiethe”, which quickly went platinum. The singer promoted the album, among others: at concerts in the largest halls in Poland, and tickets for individual performances sold out immediately. In 2023, the singer performed at a concert at the PGE National Stadium (he gathered 80,000 people there, breaking the facility’s record), and additionally played a tour called “Before and After Tour”.

Podsiadło also celebrated an important anniversary of his career – 10 years of the single “Trójkąty i quadraty” and the album “Comfort And Happiness”. “What can I tell you? Without ‘Triangles and Squares’ my life would look different. I don’t know how – worse, better – but after these many years spent together, I love them very much and I wouldn’t exchange them for any other geometric figures,” he said. Podsiadlo.

Even though the singer did not release any album in 2023, he is still among the most listened to artists in Poland. For 2024, Podsiadło announced three stadium concerts that will take place in Chorzów, Poznań and Gdańsk.

Podsiadlo became known to a wider audience in talent shows. In 2012 – as a mentee Tatiana Okupnik – won the second edition of “X Factor”. However, before this happened, he was shot twice.

In 2011, he said goodbye to the first edition of “X Factor” at the bootcamp stage, and then appeared in “I have a talent”where he performed with the band Curly Heads. The singer performed brilliantly, but the jurors wanted only him to advance to the next stage and they wanted to send the band home.

“Okay gentlemen, you want the truth, you will get it. This will be a very honest assessment and a test of your friendship. Because it is up to you whether you will let your friend go further. He is the best of this squad. He is very good. I also played in band, his name was Second Face. He also performed at a similar level. I was very offended when another band offered me a collaboration, and then I sold 500,000. discs. And it was a very important moment in my life,” she told the group members Agnieszka Chylińska.

He also agreed with the juror’s idea Robert Kozyra, who considered the band to be average, but saw potential in Dawid. “If we came here as Curly Headsthen we will come out as Curly Heads” – decided Podsiadło. At that time, it was believed that the singer had made a big mistake and wasted his chance for a career.

“David, this is the so-called heavy category. I also had a team and this is the moment when you want to be terribly loyal to a bad team. They were absolutely hopeless, but he was brilliant. Telling him directly that he was great, and he was so muddy and didn’t want to leave his band,” she recalled years later Chylińska.

Before the start of the 15th edition of “Got Talent”, the program’s production recalled the recording with Podsiadło. The singer’s decision was once again appreciated in the comments.

“They came out as Curly Heads, and Dawid came back and sells stadiums, class”, “Great decision, modesty, loyalty, honesty towards the group, in the end they came there together. And Dawid gathered great opinions and took his chance” – we read.

The following years saw Podsiadło gradually gain popularity, until he became the biggest star in Poland, selling out the PGE Narodowy, and the albums he released instantly became bestsellers. What happened to his team? Curly Heads?

Ultimately, Podsiadło and his band released the album on Sony Music. The album “Red Dress Skinny Dog” was released in October 2014 and went gold. It was promoted by the single “Reconcile” (one million views on YouTube). He starred in the music video for it Marcin Dorociński. The group also played at the most important Polish festivals, including Opene’r.

After that, the band became very quiet. Podsiadło himself was asked about the possibility of his parent group returning to activity.

“I would love to do it with the boys Curly Heads 2. It’s true that it would be an album by another band, because a lot of time has passed and a lot of things have happened along the way, so we would definitely be doing material in Polish today. Observing especially the rock sounds in our country, we believe that this is not a heavily exploited direction in music, so I feel that if we release an album, it will not be some whim or a desire for some hobby sports warm-up, but a specific proposal that will bring something to music in our country. We will take this seriously. This will not be my break from solo work, but an escape from the corporate world to artistry for the boys. I think we have something to say that we have always had good chemistry,” he commented in 2021 in the podcast that Dawid runs with Radek Kotarski.
