Filming for the fourth season of “The Witcher” is underway. As it turns out, in Devon, England, the creators are now re-shooting the scene from the sixth episode of the third series, when Geralt (then Henry Cavill) fought with Vigefortz (Mahesh Jadu), and photos from the set have appeared on the Internet, in which we see Liam Hemsworth as the White Wolf for the first time. As we know, he will replace Cavill in this role.
On April 18, Netflix officially started work on the fourth season “The Witcher” in the UK and shared photos of some of the cast rehearsing the script. The website also announced that both the fourth and fifth series will be adaptations of Andrzej Sapkowski's subsequent books from the Witcher saga – “Baptism of Fire”, “The Swallow's Tower” and “The Lady of the Lake”.
“After the shocking and groundbreaking events for the Continent, ending the third season of production, the new part of the series follows the fate of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri, who, being away from each other, must traverse the war-ravaged Continent and face its numerous demons. If they manage to unite and lead the groups of misfits among whom they find themselves, they have a chance to survive the baptism by fire and find themselves again,” reads the official announcement of season 4.
Immediately after filming the fourth series, filming for the fifth and final season will begin.
In an interview with GamesRadar, Batey once stated that Hemsworth trained hard for the role, and both actors were in contact. “INWe sent e-mails and exchanged favorite quotes from books.. According to the series bard, Liam Hemsworth is very committed to his role. Let us recall that in 2018, Hemsworth was one of the favorites to play the Witcher. In the end, the choice fell on Cavill.
