The “Smile” sequel is terrifying. The actor became ill from fear

Gage is currently promoting “Road House”, which will premiere on March 21 on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform. During an appearance on “SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show,” he revealed that he recently finished filming the sequel “Smile” from 2022.

“I don’t want to reveal anything. If you loved the first film, you will love this one too,” he assured. “It’s terrifying. It was the first time I was on a set where I was really scared, and I got sick in one take.”

The actor noted that he was surprised by his body’s reaction. However, between takes he suddenly had to give up the contents of his stomach. “I didn’t expect (to react like that). It was just so gruesome, so disgusting,” Gage said. He assured once again that the film is terrifying.

“Smile” turned out to be an unexpected hit of 2022. Horror film directed Parker Finn it cost $17 million and grossed over $217 million worldwide.

The film focuses on a psychologist who has to face a mysterious creature that possesses other people. After a week, they die in a terrible way, always with a ghastly smile on their faces.

Finn is also responsible for the sequel. Kyle Gallner will reprise his role from the first part. Apart from him and Gage, we will see, among others, on the screen Naomi Scott, Rosmarie DeWitt, Dylan Gelula and Raul Castillo. The yet untitled sequel to “Smile” will have its world premiere on October 18, 2024.
