The finale of the first part of “Bridgerton” left fans in complete suspense: How will the further story of Penelope and Colin unfold? Will the difference of opinion between Penelope and Eloise be resolved? Will Lady Whistledown's true identity be revealed? The first episodes of the latest part answer our questions!
As previously speculated, Colin and Penelope start the cutest and the most adorable stage of the series. In every touch, look, and conversation you can see a truly hot feeling that gives you wings. Colin firmly defends his beloved, ready to even oppose the scheming Portia Featherington. Unfortunately, however Eloise does not share her brother's happiness and an old friend – trying to convince Penelope to reveal all her secrets.
In the 5th episode we saw the long-awaited one “scene with mirror”, which was mentioned in interviews by Nicola Coughlan herself, playing the role of Penelope. Before watching this episode, I wondered what the words “liberating” experience could mean. In one of the interviews, she described these brave scenes as follows:
“In one of the scenes, I stand completely naked in front of the camera. It was my initiative, my choice. It was like saying 'fuck off' to all those who discuss my body. It strengthened me a lot. I felt beautiful then and I thought that When I'm 80, I'll look back and remember how damn good I looked.”
There's no other way to comment on it than: “you go girl!” This part of the episode seems extremely important for development our beloved Pen.
Viscount Antony and Kate will also be there, who they still cherish their love, the fruits of which we hope to see soon! Francesca's thread will also be developed, although it cannot be denied that this is one of the least attention-grabbing relationships of this season, although feelings are also maturing here.
Episode 5 and 6 heat up the atmosphere of romance on the one hand, and on the other the network of intrigues grows. I must admit that after just a few minutes of the new episode, I sincerely wanted to shake Eloise, whose ego clearly covers everything beyond the tip of her own nose. I don't know what this heroine would have to do to regain the sympathy I had for her at the beginning of this series.
What about Lady Whistledown? In the latest episodes, fans will be treated to a major plot twist, which will probably make some people smile indulgently and others nod their heads in understanding. However, it is impossible to escape the bitter ending of episode 6, which made it so I'm anxiously awaiting the grand finale.
