“The Neverending Story”: A new adaptation of the popular novel will be created

“The Neverending Story” is a novel by Michael Ende published in 1979. It tells the story of a lonely boy, Bastian Buks, who has been ignored by his father since the death of his mother. One day, escaping from school bullies, he goes to a bookstore where he finds the book in the title. Thanks to her, she learns about the history of the land of Fantastica and a boy named Atreyu, who is the only person who can save her from the “nothingness” that consumes her.

The novel was adapted to the big screen by Wolfgang Petersen in 1984. The film has achieved cult status, as does the accompanying soundtrack. “A never-ending story” There were two sequels. However, none of them repeated the success of the first part.

“This story is both current and timeless, and we have the opportunity to tell it in a completely new way,” said Iain Canning from See-Saw Productions, who will be one of the film’s producers. “The book is unique because you can return to it at different stages of your life and discover new layers and meaning. We believe that every generation deserves its own journey to Fantastika.”

See-Saw Studio is responsible, among other things, for films “Lion: The Way Home” and “Dog Claws”. No premiere date for the new “Neverending Story” has been announced.
