Before Anita Werner became one of the faces of “Facts”, her professional path looked completely different. In her youth she was interested in music and acting – at the age of 17 she recorded the song “With you” with the band Manc, which hit the top of the charts of Radio Łódź. Soon after, she debuted in the movie “Sweet Bitter” directed by Władysław Pasikowski. She also starred in the “History of Master Twardowski”, “To us” and the series “Become to Miss”. Although the screen loved her, after a few performances she decided to give up acting.
After parting with a film camera, Anita Werner got involved with television, but in a completely different role. Her first stop was the Wizia Sport station – the first sports television in Poland. It was there that she began her journalistic adventure. In 2001, at the age of 23, without previous experience, she came to TVN24. She was accepted, which, as she admits, was a big surprise for her. In the program “Note!” She recalled:
– I don’t really know what I convinced the bosses to hire me, besides what I could offer them, i.e. my diligence, curiosity of the world and enthusiasm.
Although she has been working as a journalist for years and runs the most important information services in the country, her education has nothing to do with journalism. Anita Werner completed cultural studies with a specialization in film studies at the University of Lodz. These studies gave her a solid foundation to understand the media, but did not prepare directly for work with a camera and a microphone. Interestingly, despite the lack of formal journalistic education, today he teaches students – she conducts classes at the University of Warsaw at the Journalism Faculty.
Anita Werner has been associated with the TVN group for over two decades. On TVN24 he runs “Facts after facts”, and in the main channel – “Facts”. She is a laureate of many journalistic awards and one of the most trusted faces of Polish information media. Although her path to this place was full of turns and non -obvious choices, she proves that passion, determination and courage in making decisions are the key to success.
