Within 24 hours of the release of the latest trailer for the film “Deadpool & Wolverine” the trailer has been viewed 365 million times, making it the most viewed trailer of all time. The production will not be aimed at young people, even though it is produced under the Disney banner – do not take children to the screening!
The previous record was held by a movie trailer “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which has been viewed 355 million times. Shawn Levy will direct, Ryan Reynolds will once again play the role of the mercenary, and Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine. Additionally, the film stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen.
First of all, the latest trailer firmly places the character of Deadpool in the Marvel Universe, which the hero himself emphasizes by saying “I am the Jesus of Marvel.” We will also find several announcements about what will happen in subsequent productions.
At the beginning, it is worth referring to the group of officers who belong to TVA – the organization that last appeared in the series “Loki”. The Time Guardians take Deadpool to their headquarters, where Paradox suggests that the mercenary join the pantheon of heroes between the Hulk, Thor and Captain America.
Deadpool also repeatedly emphasized that among all the alternate Marvel worlds, there is also Ryan Reynolds’ world, which was shown in the post-credits scene for “Deadpool 2”when a mercenary kills Reynolds before he can write the script for the film flop that was “Green Lantern”.
Wolverine’s appearance is the highlight of the trailer: viewers see just a shadow of a figure towering over the prone Deadpool. We recognize the shadow by the characteristic protrusions on its head, and then we get final confirmation of who we are dealing with by the characteristic claws jumping out of its hands.
The trailer also features a hooded and masked figure who definitely has a negative attitude towards our antagonist. Could it be Doctor Doom? There is a possibility. Will he be the main antagonist? Unlikely.
Who is Pyro? This is a character that has previously appeared in the X-men films, playing the role of a hero who controls fire. Due to the fact that he was given a speaking role in the trailer, it indicates that he may be an important element of the upcoming production. What role will he play? We don’t know yet, but it may be a symbolic candle on the grave of characters that Disney buried to somehow save its universe.
The Polish cinema premiere is announced for July 26, 2024.
