“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”: Hugo Weaving will not watch the famous series. According to him, the new Elrond is not good?

Robert Aramayo stars as Elrond in Prime Video TV serieswhich deals with the initial rise of Sauron’s power in the Second Age of Middle-earth. Season 2 is set to premiere this week, returning two years after the generally well-received first season.

In an interview with RadioTimes Weaving admitted that he thinks he probably won’t dive into the series. from the universe of “The Lord of the Rings”. Despite this, he wished Aramayo luck in the role of Elrond.

“I’ve spent too much time in Middle-earth and I don’t feel like going back there. I love New Zealand, I just moved back to New Zealand. (…) I think when you dedicate so much time to a particular piece of work and in a way… it’s a big, big film, a huge franchise, but for me, in a funny way, it’s not a role that I think about with the same respect in my head as I do for the fans,” Hugo said.

“I’m sorry Robert, but I didn’t see that. I’m sure it’s great” – added the actor.

Both Orlando Bloom and Billy Boyd, who played Legolas and Pippin respectively, shared their enthusiasm for the series and its future, while Gollum actor Andy Serkis praised the adaptation of Tolkien’s world. Additionally, Boyd, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Sean Astin stand out for the cast and crew of Rings of Power.

Hugo Weaving is a Nigerian-born Australian actor who gained international fame thanks to his versatile roles in films and theater. His charisma and acting talent have allowed him to take on a wide range of roles, from cold and ruthless antagonists to deeply complex protagonists. Weaving is best known for his role as Agent Smith in the cult film series “The Matrix”, where he gained recognition for his iconic interpretation of the character. Outside of film, Weaving is also involved in theatre productions, remaining one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.
