This film is so cult that we can’t imagine not being in our ranking. We start our list of films about the school “Grease” with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in the lead roles. This musical from 1978 directed by Randal Kleiser is a real journey until the 1950s – full rock’n’Rolla, love dilemmas and youthful rebellion. The story of Sandy and Danny’s love’Ego, which flourishes despite the differences, still entertains and touches, and energy songs and choreographies are immortal – just mention “Summer Nights” or the final “You” You’Re the One that and Want “.
In the 1990s, a film debuted in theaters, which was also a cult name. The creators of the “in love” skillfully adapted the story of the Shakespeare’s drama “Taming the Shrew” to the present day, entering the heroes into high school stereotypes and changing the stake – from the wedding to the exit to … matura ball. A great cast, consisting of young actors, contributed to the success of production. Heath Ledger is particularly good as Patrick Verona, and on the screen he is accompanied by, among others Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Laris Oleynik, David Krumholtz and Andrew Keegan.
In our ranking we have also prepared a less obvious proposal. The novel “Carrie”, written by the horror master, Stephen King, has already had two screenings that debuted on the big screen in 1976 and 2013. Viewers can therefore choose between the iconic and more modern screening. The plot of both films focuses on Carrie White, who, due to the bans of her crazy mother, is ridiculed by peers at school. Nobody knows that the girl hides something from the world: she has the power of telekinesis, which she secretly improves. Unfortunately, this skill will contribute to her loss … In the 70s, Sissy Spicek played the main heroine, and in a newer version we can watch Chloe Grace Moretz.
“Mony Liza smile” is a warm and inspiring film directed by Mike’And Newella, known among others from “Four weddings and funerals” and “Donni Brasco”. The action takes us to a conservative American college’For women in the 1950s, where a charismatic art history teacher appears, played by Julia Roberts. Her character, Katherine Watson, instead of injecting students into beaten patterns, encourages them to think independently, discover their own passions and face social expectations regarding the role of women. On the screen she is accompanied by, among others Young Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julia Stiles and Ginnifer Goodwin. It is a film that is worth watching not only for great acting creations, but also for the message itself.
Robin Williams played several roles during his career, which forever entered the history of cinema. The figure of the eccentric professor John Keating in “The creation of dead poets” is definitely one of them. A film about a group of teenagers who, in the care of Keating, learns independent thinking and love for poetry and life, is a classic of cinema. The production of Peter Weir shows that movies for young people can also contain darkness and ask difficult questions. Robin Williams created one of his best creations here, and the film was awarded Oscar for the best original script.
We have one more proposal for you – less known but equally good! The film “Keith” from 2008 not only focuses on teenagers attending high school, but also impresses with the simplicity of history and an unexpected twist. When Natalie, likes, joins the Keith class, a school outsider, the boy is not delighted. However, the time spent on chemistry projects brings together two young people. Natalie does not know that the secret hidden by Keith will turn her life upside down and break her heart forever. Be sure to prepare a handkerchief for the screening! History will make you tear.
