The phenomenon of the series “Bridgertons” no longer surprises anyone. A story about eight siblings who… tries to find love in the world of English society during the Regency era from the premiere of the first season in 2020 delighted viewers around the world.
Great costumes and cinematography; characters with whom everyone can identify (after all, in this fantastic and colorful fairy tale and at the same time an excellent escape from reality, there are no prejudices based on race or sexual identity); music; romances and finally, the friendships and family dynamics of the titular Bridgerton family made the production one of the most popular series in recent years.
You could see how much the series is liked at the event dedicated to the series, which took place in Warsaw on June 5 – It was attended by crowds of fans who showed their sympathy for the popular series by dressing up in period costumes.
The park at Senatorska Street was full of fans throughout Wednesday evening, most of them she wore colorful dresses with appropriate accessories or jackets worthy of the most fashionable gentlemen of Queen Charlotte's court. In addition to the gathered journalists, fans and influencers (not only from Poland, but also from the region – including the Czech Republic and Romania), the stars of Polish films and series could be seen in the ballroom.
The Social Event of the Season was attended by, among others: Zofia Jastrzębska, known from “Infamia” and the film “Colors of Evil. Red”, and her colleague from the set of “Colors…” Jan Wieteska (“Sexify”); Aleksandra Domańska, the “Znachor” team – Maria Kowalska and Ignacy Liss, Katarzyna Zielińska, Maciej Musiałowski, Patricia Kazadi, Vanessa Alexander, Aleksandra Grabowska, Edyta Herbuś, Marta Żmuda-Trzebiatowska and Kamil Kula.
During a short question and answer session with the stars of the series – Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury) and Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton) – fans found out who is the best dancer in the cast (with the help of the audience gathered in the hall, the choice fell on Jonathan Bailey) why they love “Bridgertons”. Claudia Jessie, with her typical sense of humor, also said that the series is a bit of a “warm, sexy blanket” that you can cover yourself with when life gets a bit overwhelming. And I think that's what's best about this series. The audience's cheers and thunderous applause after this answer certainly prove it.
The first part of the third season of “Bridgerton” debuted on May 16. The second one will be available on June 13 – then we will find out what the fate of Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) will be, we will find out how Lady Whistledown's secret will be revealed and we will learn about the further adventures of Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) or Violet (Ruth Gemmell) and Marcus (Daniel Francis). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this last pair!
