“The Abandons” will be the first project by Kurt Sutter to debut on the website Netflix. Emmy Award Winner is best known for the crime series “Sons of Anarchy” and its spin-off “Mayans MC.” In “The Abandons” viewers will see events taking place in the Wild West. Filming for the first season has just started in Calgary, and a fantastic cast has gathered on set. Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson will play the main roles in the series. Both outstanding actresses will play mothers whose families have been in fierce competition with each other for years.
As we can learn from the description of the series published on Netflix's TUDUM, the heroes of the series are a diverse group of characters who lives on the outskirts of a community in mid-19th century Oregon. In the new series, Kurt Sutter wants to answer the question which can drive a good man to do cruel things.
Lena Headey will play Fiona Nolan, a woman who adopted four orphans and will stop at nothing to protect her family. Gillian Anderson is Constance Van Ness. Ness, on the other hand, intends to expand his business at all costs. The remaining roles will be played by Nick Robinson (“Maid”), Diana Silvers (“Booksmart”), Lucas Till (“MacGyver”), Lamar Johnson (“The Last of Us”).
