Teresa Werner, called the icon of Silesian song, made her debut as a 16-year-old in… Song and Dance Ensemble “Śląsk”, with which she performed all over the world. She appeared, among others, on Broadway and at Carnegie Hall in New York.
– At the age of 16, I also had to start a very responsible adult life, combining school with professional work. We were a showcase of Polish culture, that was an obligation. The “Śląsk” team was perceived as something unimaginably elite. We all felt that our work was special. We gave our best. I had the honor of working in this great team for 32 years and 8 months. I didn't even notice how the time had flown by – she recalled in an interview with Interia.
In 2011, she started her solo career by releasing an album “Make dreams come true” promoted single “Love is beautiful” (check!).
In a short time, Werner gained considerable popularity in Silesia, regularly winning the title of performer of the year on the regional television channel TVS.
The singer's greatest hits include: “I would give it to you”, “Love is beautiful”, “Happy for two” (listen!), “I love my sea” (listen!), “Make dreams come true” (listen!), “You have to start living” and “Love Isn't Fun”. The music videos for these songs have collected several to several dozen million views.
At the beginning of October 2020, the program appeared on Polo TV “Concert of Wishes with Teresa Werner”. Together with Teresa Werner, it is hosted by Polo TV presenter – Maciej Smoliński.
“I played thousands of concerts for you in large cities, towns and villages. These 10 years were very important to me. I met many wonderful people along the way who inspired me to work even harder and more persistently with their positive thinking and many talents. This is what I have been building my success with you for these 10 years. I remember everyone who showed me their support and on whom I can count,” she summed up the last decade of her career.
“Who of you would sit on the sofa with me and why? I am very curious about your answers…” – the Silesian singer wrote on Instagram in April. Fans did not spare her compliments. There were over 100 comments under the photo.
“Terence… if only I could sit on the sofa next to you, I would be really happy. You have been making me feel really special for over a dozen years. Others at school make fun of me for having such an idol and not another one, but I know that if it weren't for THIS idol, my life would not be what it is, it would only be much worse,” wrote one of the fans.
“I would come by helicopter just to sit down for a moment and drink coffee,” wrote another fan.
“Because you are beautiful. Sitting next to such a person is a real honor,” commented another user.
