Wily’s death was confirmed by Peter M. Lenkov, executive producer of the series that aired from 2010 to 2020.
“T, as I told you many times, I loved you from the first audition. You came with a towel on your head to wipe the sweat with, and I was enchanted. You charmed me so much that you became a permanent member of the cast and my life. You were family to me. And I will miss you every day, brother,” wrote Lenkov.
Wily was born on June 14, 1968 in Hawaii. Before becoming an actor, he was a sumo and MMA fighter. He played his first big role in a comedy “Boys cry too” from 2008.
Two years later, he joined the series “Hawaii Five-O”, a remake of the popular production from 1968-1980. He appeared as a guest until the seventh season. He has been part of the main cast since the eighth season. He appeared in 171 episodes. He repeated his role as a guest in new versions of “MacGyver” and “Magnum: Hawaii Detective”.
He left behind a wife and two children.
