Taco Hemingway has a book. There has never been anything like this before

Taco Hemingway is currently one of the most recognizable rappers in Poland. His work appeals to both the younger and older generations.

He has released six full-length solo studio albums, as well as several mini-albums and collaborations. During the last tour – “1-800-Tour” – filled stadiums and large concert halls, and the final took place at the PGE Narodowy.

Thanks to the sold out at the Warsaw stadium, he became the first rapper to sell out all the seats in this facility. He was also the most listened to Polish artist on Spotify in 2023 and 2024.

A book is being written about Taco Hemingway’s “The Fair”. “Current comment”

A book by a journalist and culture researcher KamilaRymajdo will be published as part of Bloomsbury’s series 33 1/3. The premiere is scheduled for February 6.

As we read in the announcement, the author “explores the meaning of this album as a cultural reflection of Polish post-socialist history, migration and the populist turn, placing ‘Fair’ in the broader context of the state of contemporary Polish society and Polish politics.”

“Taco Hemingway released ‘Fair’ as his most politically engaged album. Known as ‘the voice of a generation that has nothing to say’, Hemingway breaks this image by presenting a critical view of contemporary Poland. The lead single from the album,‘Polish Tango’was released just two days before the 2020 Polish presidential elections, which made ‘Fair’ a timely commentary on the divided Polish society,” the description continues.

The author analyzed the lyrics and musical aspects of the album in relation to the history of rap and the career of Taco Hemingway. In addition, she also examined, among others, influence on listeners and critics’ reviews.
