This year’s edition of the IFA fair became a platform for 3 major product launches in the Honor portfolio. The main course of the Chinese manufacturer’s event was undoubtedly the smartphone – the new Fold foldable throws down the gauntlet to Samsung and does so with great grace. But that’s not all.
The other two products, which were presented on September 5, are a tablet and a laptop. Although devices from this segment do not usually arouse such emotions as phones, in this case it is worth taking a look. Especially when it comes to .
Huge, with a resolution of 3000 x 1920 pixels, refresh rate up to 144 Hz, 8 speakers and powerful parameters – the latest Honor tablet seems to be a product packed to the brim, which is to be an Android alternative to iPads under the brand of the bitten apple. The live screen makes a huge impression, as does the quality of the sound coming from the device.
The device will be great for both entertainment and work. In this case, no surprises – we will connect a keyboard and a stylus to it. The model is equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The price for such a set will be . The device will be available in Poland and will most likely be priced at less than PLN 3,000.
The third product shown at IFA 2024 was . Since the tablet is a competitor to the iPad, in this case we are talking about a competitor to the MacBook. And it must be admitted that the Honor laptop has a few aces up its sleeve. The biggest one seems to be the extremely thin bezels around the screen. The 14.6-inch screen has almost no black bezel around it, thanks to, among other things, the clever hiding of the video call camera.
There is no island or black dot. The camera is hidden… on the side of the device. We take it out (just like an SD card), then mount it above the top frame using a convenient magnet:
It looks really great. The device’s parameters are also good. There are a lot of pixels – 3120 x 2080, and the screen refreshes at 120 Hz. On board we will find 32 GB RAM and Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. The problem remains the availability of equipment for the Polish consumer.
