“Świat według Kiepskich”: Stanisław Kolenda is dead. Another sad news for fans

The information about the death of Stanisław Kolenda was provided by the Feature Film Studio in Wrocław.

“Our friend, long-time WFF employee Stanisław Kolenda has passed away. Called by his colleagues at the studio ‘the golden Staszek’, he had been associated with the studio since 1968 (he worked until 2004) (…) We will miss him very much,” the studio wrote on its social media.

“From the very beginning he showed great resourcefulness and multifunctionality, becoming simply indispensable for film crews. (…) Without a shadow of an exaggeration, he can be described as the ‘pillar of the WFF’ – he treated the studio like home. What’s more – his actions, dutifulness and kindness made the WFF be treated by other filmmakers as a wonderful, supportive place” – recalled the deceased Henryk Tas, another long-time employee of the studio.

As a dolly operator and camera operator assistant, Stanisław Kolenda took part in the production of many feature films and documentaries, series and television plays. He was part of the crews working on such cult productions as: “Przyłbice i Kaptury” (1985), “W zawieszeniu” (1986) and “Ucieczka z kina wolności” (Escape from the Freedom Cinema) (1990).

However, he was associated with the legendary series “Świat według Kiepskich” for the longest time. He worked on the production set from 1999 to 2022. He also directed other cult Polsat series: “Pierwszą miłość” and “Fała zbrodni”.

According to media reports, this is the 83rd person associated with “Świat według Kiepskich” who has died in recent years.
