Let us remind you that one of the stars of the 15th edition of the festival, which will take place on September 5-7 at the MOSiR. Włodzimierz Smolarek in Aleksandrów Łódzki, will be Overkill – a living legend of thrash metal from New York. To the warehouse Summer Dying Loud 2024 Progressive, avant-garde black metalists from Norway also joined Borknagarand two Polish groups: Bydgoszcz Schismi.e. pioneers of the domestic hardcore scene, and noise / punk rock Team Daggers from Gdańsk.
Among the subsequent announcements, we also find a Portuguese formation that enjoys unflagging popularity in our country Moonspell and the Irish from Primordialwhose black metal, encrusted with Celtic folklore, has found devoted followers for years, as well as Italian ones Ufomammut from the border of psychedelic sludge, stoner and doom metal, and death / thrash veterans from the Swiss group Messiah.
Among as many as 50 announced performers who will perform at Summer Dying Loud 2024are also black metal Koldbrann from Norway; German group Chapel Of Disease performing progressive death metal with rock elements; death metal Massacre from Colombia; and the Poznań band Asteria under the sign of post-hardcore and post-metal.
Three Polish bands joined the festival line-up. One of them is a black metal group Blaze Of Perdition from Lublin, one of the most interesting representatives of the genre.
“We are extremely happy that Blaze Of Perdition responded to our invitation. We know that information about new material will appear soon, and everything coincides perfectly with the September date of Summer Dying Loud,” wrote the event organizers about the members of the famous Metal Blade Records.
The next announcement is from the Warsaw group Sunnatawhose new album “Chasing Shadows” will be released on April 20.
“Sunnata’s consistency and characteristic style developed over the years, based on doom and post metal enriched with an oriental, mystical atmosphere and complex grunge vocals, led Warsaw residents to concerts with Mastodon, Paradise Lost, Sleep Whether Rotting Christ and hundreds of concerts on European stages. Where will their fifth album ‘Chasing Shadows’ lead? We will find out about this soon. For fans: Alice In Chains on acid and illegitimate children OM and Neurosis“- we read in the announcement.
The quartet also comes from Warsaw Crystalwhich we will see at the beginning of September in Aleksandrów Łódzki.
“A Warsaw quartet balancing between cold wave and post punk, but with a quite aggressive sound. The band debuted in 2022 with the album ‘Kryształ’. They performed, among others, on tour with Bitternessreleased several singles and became quite embedded in the consciousness of the audience looking for something new in music,” the organizers note.
The Summer Dying Loud 2024 lineup also includes an Italian artist Lili Refrain.
The Italian witch’s concerts are, as we read, more than just a standard performer-audience interaction. It is a real ritual introducing listeners to the world of ancient beliefs and rituals, the timeless meaning of which still has magical power in modern times. Lili Refrain combines minimalism, folk, psychedelia with blues and even metal in her music.
A three-day pass for Summer Dying Loud 2024 is available for PLN 307 (PLN 360 with a place at the campsite). The price of a one-day ticket is PLN 169.
