Stanisław Tym’s funeral. The stars of Polish cinema say goodbye to him

Funeral details Stanisław Tym we met a few days ago. It was then that the deceased actor’s relatives revealed that he dreamed of his ashes being buried next to his beloved house in Zakąty on Lake Wigry.

However, the artist’s last wish could not be fulfilled. All because of Polish law, which does not allow such a possibility. According to it, urns with the ashes of the deceased can only be placed in designated places in cemeteries.

Let us remind you that the memorable kaowiec from the film “Rejs” by Marek Piwowski and Ryszard Ochódzki from “Miś”, “Controlled Conversations” and “Ryś” died on December 6. He was 87 years old.

“It is with great regret that we inform you about the death of Stanisław Tym, a great figure of Polish culture and media. For decades, he has furnished our collective imagination and shaped our sense of humor” – said the editorial office of the weekly “Polityka”.

The actor had been struggling with the disease for a long time. For years, he avoided issues regarding his health and private life in the media.

Many Polish cinema stars, as well as famous politicians and journalists, said goodbye to Tym on social media.

Stanisław Tym was born on July 17, 1937 in Małkinia Górna. Initially, he didn’t think about becoming an actor at all. After graduating from high school, he planned to become… a chemist.

However, he was dragged to an audition at the acting department by a friend from high school who he met by chance after many years.

“650 people applied, 22 were accepted. I was completely relaxed, because… I knew I wouldn’t pass“- he recalled years later.

However, Tym managed to impress the examiners and was accepted to study. Unfortunately, he was expelled from school after two years.

However, the artist did not give up and did not give up acting. By accident, he again went to the then famous STS and was appreciated there. His colleagues were delighted not only with his acting, but also with his lyrics.

Then Tym’s career was gaining momentum. The actor began to receive offers that made him one of the most popular Polish actors. He played, among others: kaowiec in the famous “Rejs” by Marek Piwowski, Zenek in “Nie ma Róży bez pozna” or Ryszard Ochódzki in “Miś” by Stanisław Bareja. For years, he was also associated with theaters, where he fulfilled himself both as an actor and director.

In the second half of the 1990s, he wrote columns for the weekly “Wprost” and the daily “Rzeczpospolita”, then he became a regular columnist for “Polityka”.
