The musicians appeared on stage together for an event organized by the foundation SMooCH (Seattle Musicians for Children’s Hospital). To the guitarist Kim Thayilbassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron a singer from Seattle joined Shaina Shepherd.
In addition to performing and writing lyrics, the singer also teaches singing and organizes events in Seattle. Shaina Shepherd acts as team leader BEARAXEand over the years she has worked with artists such as Dave Matthews, Chong the Nomad Whether Acid Tongue.

The musicians performed together under the name “Nudedragons“which is an anagram of the word “Soundgarden“. The group used this nickname during a concert in 2010. This year’s reconciliation was the third such event since the death of leader Chris Cornell in 2017. Previously, the musicians appeared on stage together on the occasion of a concert commemorating the deceased singer in 2019 and collaborating with the singer Brandi Carlile in 2021
SMooCH’s annual benefit concerts raise money for the Seattle Children’s Hospital Health Fund. The local community and fans showed support by purchasing tickets almost immediately.
Vocalist Shaina Shepherd gave the band a completely new energy, and the audience could hear songs such as “HuntedDown“, “Outshined“, “Flower” Whether “Beyond the Wheel” and on songs “Kickstand‘ and “Kick Out the Jams” (cover MC5) the role of vocalist was also taken by a bassist from Seattle Guns N’ Rosep, Duff McKaghan. The unique performance raised over $2.2 million in funds for Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Soundgarden was founded in 1984, together with the band Green River, they are considered one of the precursors of grunge, and right next to Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam are mentioned as members of the so-called Seattle’s Big Four.
The group has two Grammy Awards for the songs “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman“. It is estimated that they have sold over 25 million records worldwide.
In May 2017, singer and guitarist Chris Cornell took his own life. This event shook the entire scene, and in 2019 Soundgarden decided to discontinue their activities.
