She is younger than his daughter, and they are 46 years apart. She calls him “the love of your life”

Say that Jimmy Page is an icon of the rock guitar, that’s definitely not enough. He took his first steps as a session musician in the early 1960s (with, among others, The Who, Marianne Faithful, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison & Them, Petula Clark and Joe Cocker) to join later The Yardbirds (due to their composition, they should be called a supergroup), and from the end of the 1960s, for a little over a decade, he co-created Led Zeppelin.

The band still enjoys the status of a rock legend. According to various estimates, the British quartet has sold between 200 and 300 million records, which puts them at the forefront of the best-selling artists of all time, next to The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Pink Floyd.

Jimmy Page was mentioned as the main source of inspiration by all the leading artists of contemporary rock and metal, including: Eddie Van Halen, Angus Young (AC/DC), Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Joe Satriani, Ace Frehley (ex-Kiss), John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Pantera), Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains) Whether Mike McCready and Stone Gossard With Pearl Jam.

“He is one of the best creators in the history of rock” – underlines Brian Mayguitar support Queen.

Robert Plant (vocal), Jimmy Page (guitar), John Paul Jones (bass) i John “Bonzo” Bonham (drums) – these four are responsible for such classics as, among others: “Stairway to Heaven”, “Whole Lotta Love”, “Kashmir”, “Since I’ve Been Loving You”, “Dazed and Confused” Whether “No quarter”.

The impressive career of the quartet was interrupted by the death of the famous original “Pet” With “The Muppets”. On September 24, 1980, John Bonham drank 40 glasses (!!!) of vodka. Some sources claim that the drummer had enough to consume two liters “clean” about 4 hours.

After John Bonham’s death, the band only gave one-off short performances during LiveAid in Philadelphia in 1985 (with two drummers: Phil Collins With Genesis and Tony Thompson With Chic and a bass player Paul Martinez), a concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of Atlantic Records in 1988 (he sat down behind the drums JasonBonhamson “Bonzo”) and the induction of Led Zeppelin into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 (guests included Jason Bonham and Steven Tyler and Joe Perry With Aerosmith, Neil Young and Michael Leea supporting duo on drums Page & Plant).

After Bonham’s death, they gave a full concert only once – on December 10, 2007 at the O2 Arena in London during a charity event. Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert dedicated to the memory of the deceased co-founder and head of the Atlantic label, responsible for signing the recording contract with Led Zeppelin. The band was again supported by Jason Bonham on drums.

In the 1990s, the guitarist joined forces with the vocalist Whitesnake David Coverdale (plate “Coverdale/Page” was promoted only with a few concerts in Japan and did not bring any further results), as well as with Robert Plant (a memorable performance from the series “MTV Unplugged” and premiere album “Walking into Clarksdale”). Although he has participated in various projects from time to time, he has been fulfilling the role of the musical custodian of Led Zeppelin’s legacy for a long time.

Despite several offers (the media reported an offer worth £500 million for 35 concerts), Led Zeppelin never returned to the stage. The most resistant person was said to be Robert Plant, who has been working successfully both solo and in a duo for years Alison Krauss.

The now 80-year-old guitarist has for a long time been one of the symbols of a lavish life, the main slogan of which is “sex, drugs and rock’n’roll”.

In the early 1960s, he was in a relationship with an American singer Jackie DeShannonknown for its hits “What the World Needs Now Is Love” and “Put a Little Love in Your Heart”. She was supposed to be the inspiration for the song “Tangerine” Led Zeppelin.

Page later partnered with the French model for over a decade CharlotteMartinwhich he called “his lady”. Together they have a daughter, now 53 Scarlet Pagewho works as a photographer.

In the 1970s, there was much talk about the rocker’s long-term relationship with… Lori Mattixa teenage groupie who also had intimate contacts with, among others, David Bowie and Mick Jagger With The Rolling Stones. Lori met the hero of this text when she was only about 14 years old. Page himself did not flaunt this relationship, fearing arrest for sex with a minor.

Mattix decided to break off their relationship when she found the musician in bed with Bebe Buella slightly older model “Playboy”who in turn also had affairs with, among others, Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Elvis Costello and Steven Tyler With Aerosmith (their fleeting adventure resulted in the birth of the later actress Liv Tyler).

The Led Zeppelin guitarist was married twice: to a model and to a waitress Patricia Ecker (1986-95) i Jimena Gómez-Paratcha (divorced in 2008). He has a son with Ecker James Patrick (born 1988), and Jimena, whom he met in Brazil, gave birth to a daughter Zofia Jade (born 1997) and a son Ashena Josan (born 1999). Page adopted Jimena’s eldest daughter – Jana (born 1994).

Since 2014, the guitarist has been in a relationship with an actress and poet who is 46 years his junior. Scarlett Sabet. In 2019, she released a talking album “Catalyst”which was produced by Jimmy Page. “The love of my life, a magical man that everyone loves” – says Scarlett about her beloved.
