The most important day of this year’s GeekedWeek fell on Thursday. Just yesterday we learned the names of the new actors in the cast of the second series of “One Piece”, we learned that new episodes of “Black Mirror” will hit the platform in 2025, and a new series from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe is in the works. We also took a look behind the scenes of the second season of “Sandman.”
As we reported in May, Netflix has revealed who will be playing the other members of the Infinite clan. The cast of the second season includes Esmé Creed-Miles (Maligna), Adrian Lester (Destiny), and Barry Sloane (Destruction). The new episodes will feature the return of Tom Sturridge (Dream Master), Mason Alexander Park (Desire), Kirby (Death), and Donna Preston (Despair). As we learn today, The cast of the new installment of Neil Gaiman’s iconic graphic novel has expanded significantly.
In the second season we will also see such characters as Orpheus (Ruairi O’Connor), Loki (Freddie Cox), Odin (Clive Russell), Laurence O’Fuarain (Thor), Ann Skelly (Nuala), Cluracan (Douglas Booth), Puck (Jack Gleeson known from “Game of Thrones”), Wanda (Indya Moore), Barnabas (Steve Coogan).
As we learn from the official description of the series: “Whenever we close our eyes, we are transported to another world – the Dreaming – where Sandman, the Dream Master (Tom Sturridge) gives shape to all our deepest fears and fantasies. When the Dream Lord is unexpectedly captured and imprisoned for a hundred years, a series of events unfolds in his absence that changes the dream world and the waking world forever.
