The concert began with a short support. He was him Jacko Brango, guitarist in Daria Zawiałow’s band, who performed solo material. The whole thing was in an indie rock atmosphere, so its style suited the tastes of the audience gathered at the Tauron Arena Kraków quite well. After Daria entered, when the black curtain fell, palm trees, numerous posters of rock bands and movie stars and vintage furniture appeared, creating a unique atmosphere of the United States from the 1990s.
The entire concert was divided into three chapters, which gradually revealed individual parts of the wide stage. The whole thing started with “Chapter ’92”, then “Pete Stop” and finally “Backdoor”. Between each of them, we received short videos from the USA, broadcast on large screens, from behind the scenes of the shooting of music videos for individual songs from a given chapter.
One of the most touching moments was when Daria sang the song “The Ballad of Her”, which she preceded with words of support for all people who have lost a loved one. Another piece that aroused a lot of emotion was “Bambi Sarenka”, which gained new energy live. It is also worth mentioning “SUPRO”, which has a new concert verse by Daria Zawiałow. All due to the absence of Taco Hemingway, who guest appeared on this song on the “Pop Girl” album.
In addition to Daria Zawiałow’s solo songs, there were also those from Męskie Granie’s projects. At first we got it “And you too, very much.”, in a highly acoustic version with a Hawaiian guitar, which could be moving in such a subtle arrangement. Later in the concerts we could hear: “Dawn” and with a full line-up and guest appearances Blaise the King and Igo. In addition to these two, he also appeared on stage next to Daria Arthur Swarm. They sang a song together “Odd”and later “For you” from the repertoire Myslovitz.
The audience of over 12,000 people constantly moved Daria, which showed how much heart she puts into these concerts. I was very surprised when she admitted that Saturday’s concert was the biggest one in her career so far. However, I think that over time he will get used to it, seeing how dynamically he develops. “Pop Girl” is an album that becomes even more emotional live, making it hard to ignore this performance.
Before Daria on this route, there are also the Atlas Arena in Łódź and the sold-out Towar in Warsaw. I wonder what will surprise him this time.
