Over the course of 16 seasons, For a total of 9 years, we followed the everyday life of the Boski family on our screens. The series “Rodzinka.pl” was based on the Canadian format “Les Parent” and was broadcast from March 2, 2011 to May 3, 2020. The director of the show was Patrick Yoki, and the main roles were played by Tomasz Karolak, Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Maciej Musiał, Adam Zdrójkowski and Mateusz Pawłowski.
Episodes of the final season in 2020 on Sunday afternoons was watched by an average of almost 900 thousand viewers. The series achieved extremely high results in the age groups 16-59. It even spawned a mini-series “Boscy w sieci”. The series’ producer at the time was Dorota Kośmicka, who was eager to share her impressions of the production.
“I managed to make a series ‘Rodzinka.pl’but I dreamed of a film version. It’s my unfulfilled dream,” she admitted.
Already in April this year, TVP – after a change in management – revealed that it was resuming the production of the beloved format.
“It is true that Polish Television is preparing to produce the next part ‘Rodzinki.pl’, But it’s too early to provide any details,” the TVP press office reported to Wirtualnemedia.pl.
Apparently The plot of the new installment of the show will focus on the children of Ludwik and Natalia Boski. Their sons, who have grown up or have descendants themselves, are to live with their parents in a three-generation home.
“‘Rodzinka.pl’ It will cost less than the expensive historical productions commissioned by the previous management of TVP, and the series achieved very good results,” revealed a source from behind the scenes of the production.
The cast of “Rodzinki.pl” does not hide their excitement about potentially returning to the roles they have played for 9 years. Małgorzata Kożuchowska, who played the role of a mother named Natalia, has already shared an intriguing post on Instagram. She added several photos from the set of the series, including with Tomasz Karolak.
“Did you miss me? Would you like to ‘Rodzinka.pl’ came back?” – she wrote in the post.
Actor Adam Zdrójkowski, who played the role of Kuba, the second son of the Boski family, in a recent interview with Interia also revealed details of preparations for the revival of the series and expressed his desire to return to the screen in this production.
“For several months now, there has been contact between us and the production company, which is working on resuming ‘Rodzinkę.pl’but recently we have not received any specific information, nor have we sat down at the table for talks. I will certainly, if such talks take place, be there. I think we would all be eager to see what this project would look like now, a few years later. I also know from the viewers’ reactions that this format is not over yet and they are still waiting for it to end. ‘Rodzinka.pl’ she made their evenings more pleasant” – the actor revealed.
A few months ago, Maciej Musiał was also asked about returning to the series. The sought-after artist admitted then that the cast had changed a bit over the years.
“We’ve all lost our charm, I’m talking about us – the brothers (the others were played by Adam Zdrójkowski and Mateusz Pawłowski – editor’s note). We’re just old guys with mustaches and beards, so we’d have to find some interesting engine and idea for it. I know there are interesting ideas for that,” he said in an interview with Plejada.
The actor also touched on the subject of the series’ creator. He assured that only Patrick Yoka is able to renew the production of “Rodzinki.pl” in an interesting way.
“We’ll see which direction Patrick Yoka goes. The most important thing is that if we do it, it will be with the old line-up, creatively led by Patrick Yoka, who is an outstanding creator. (…) If someone repeats this success many times, it proves that they are truly exceptional. If it happens, it will only be with him on board,” Musiał concluded.
