Przemysław Kossakowski is a Polish journalist and traveler, but recently he practically disappeared from public media. What was his career like and what is the reason that we don’t hear much about him now?
Przemysław Kossakowski did not plan to become a journalist from the beginning, or at least that is what his career path shows, which seems to be quite winding. It turns out that a traveler is a man of many talents.
He graduated from the Faculty of Art Education at the Higher Pedagogical School in Częstochowa. Initially, he was a painter, then he worked as a teacher, a lumberjack, a car mechanic, and also in a Dutch pigsty and as a potato harvester in France.
In 2012, he moved towards working in the media and was employed as documentary filmmaker at TTV station – worked as a journalist and presenter. Since then, he has hosted several programs for this station, including: “Kossakowski: The Sixth Sense”, “Kossakowski: Initiation”, “Kossakowski: Unobvious”. In 2020, he hosted the program “Down the Road. The band on tour”. It was a production showing how a journalist travels around the world with a group of people with Down syndrome. For this program, he received the Lodołamacze 2020 award in the “journalist without barriers” category and the Telekamera award in the “TV personality” category. The production had three seasons.
In 2022, together with Barbara Kurdej-Szatan he hosted the program “Project Cupid”, which unfortunately was not a success.
In 2023, he defended his diploma thesis on art therapy – “Art therapy in working with people with intellectual disabilities”.
Przemysław Kossakowski is currently divorced. In 2020, he married Martyna Wojciechowska — Polish presenter, journalist, traveler and writer. In 2021, rumors of their breakup were confirmed, and a in 2022, the media reported the couple’s divorce with the man being found guilty.
After changes in his private life, Kossakowski decided to leave the media. He lived in Podlasie and for some time made a living from author meetings and motivational lectures – still away from the media, but staying in touch with fans through, among others, Instagram, where he has collected over half a million followers.
Considering that the journalist has undertaken various jobs in his life, no one should be surprised that now he has taken up a completely new profession. Currently, he has become an employee of the promotion department and became involved in the organization of the “Pojezierze Wolnych Myśli” Festival.
“I have never done many things in my life, and one of them is co-organizing a festival. I think it’s high time to change that,” said the former star.
Using his own reach, he decided to ask for help from people and companies that would like to support his new project.
“We are constantly looking for people/companies who would like to support our idea. In return, we can promise an excellent adventure and numerous promotional benefits. This is a proposition addressed only to people who love nature, adventure, art and science, so we have a basic disadvantage. We are only looking for sensitive partners” – he announced on Instagram.
