Poles love them. Dream Theater returns for one concert

Concert Dream Theater in Poland will take place on November 3 at Atlas Arena. Tickets for this performance will go on sale on April 12 at 10:00.

The American group will play in the following lineup: James LaBrie (vocal), John Petrucci (guitar), John Myung (bass), Jordan Rudess (keyboards) i Mike Portnoy (drums). The latter – one of the band's co-founders – returned after a 13-year break. He replaced the drums Mike Mangini.

With Portnoy already in the lineup, the band is preparing its 16th studio album. It will also be his first album since “Black Clouds & Silver Linings” from 2009.

The pioneers of progressive metal have sold over 15 million albums, a Grammy Award and a place for “Images & Words” in the ranking of the 100 metal albums of all time according to “Rolling Stone”.

For years, apart from Dream Theater, Portnoy recorded and performed with, among others, Transatlantic, Liquid Tension Experiment, The Winery Dogs, Avenged Sevenfold, OSI, Twisted Sister, Adrenaline Mob, Sons Of Apollo, Flying Colors, Metal Allegiance and Neal Morse.

Most of them are supergroups in which he crossed paths with other rock and metal stars. In Liquid Tension Experiment he performs with other Dream Theater musicians: a guitarist John Petrucci and keyboardist Jordan Rudess. In turn, in 2020, the drummer played as a guest on Petrucci's solo album “Terminal Velocity” – it was the first time in over a decade that they met together in the studio.

“I'm so happy to be back home and reunited with my brothers! There's so much shared history between all of us… so many memories, so much music… (…) The idea of creating new music together is so exciting and absolutely I can't wait to hit the road and play live for a whole new generation of fans who have never had the opportunity to see this band before… There's no place like home! – wrote Mike Portnoy in an official statement.
