Peja he has been associated with the Polish hip-hop scene for over 30 years, but recently he has also been speaking more and more often on social and political issues.
The rapper decided that entries published on social media were not enough, so he collected information that interested him and sent a letter to Karol Nawrocki. As he emphasized, he did not demand the severance of economic or military relations. He wanted to present his doubts and talk about them directly.
“I wrote that I am concerned about what I see, and as a citizen I am submitting such applications,” he said at Bogdan Rymanowski.

Peja met with Karol Nawrocki
After sending the letter, Pei received a call from the President’s Office. He took his long-time friend Piotr Miężał to the meeting. Before leaving, he only asked him to give up his overly formal attire.
“Don’t wear a jacket, we’ll look like gorillas at the gate,” the rapper recalled.
The conversation lasted almost two hours and quickly went beyond the topic with which the correspondence began. Peja and Nawrocki talked about, among other things, Poland’s relations with Israel, the United States and the beginnings of the current president’s political career. However, the musician did not reveal all the details of the meeting.
“Let them say what they want. He is a great guy. We talked about many different topics,” he said.
Peja and Karol Nawrocki did not change to “you”
Despite the long and, according to the rapper, casual conversation, the gentlemen remained in an official form. Peja admitted that they did not switch to “you”.
However, their contact did not end with one meeting. The artist later received invitations to events with the president’s participation, including the celebration of the Polish Army Day, although due to other commitments he was not always able to take advantage of them.
