At the beginning of September, TV One will appear new Polish-Ukrainian costume production “Coffee with Cardamom”. One of the main roles in the series is played by a Polish actor Paul Delagknown for his participation in such films and series as “The Perfect Wedding”, “Scream”, “Family Games” and “Friends”.
“Coffee with Cardamom” consists of ten episodes. The first episode of the series will be broadcast on Saturday, September 7, on TVP1. Before that, the premiere episode will be available on the TVP VOD platform.
The action of the series “Coffee with cardamom” takes place in the Austrian Empire in the mid-19th century. Anna (played by Ukrainian actress Olena Lavreniuk) is a beautiful girl who dreams of true and sincere love. A Polish nobleman, Adam Rodziński (played by Paul Delag). Will the feelings of a young Ukrainian orphan and an older count be able to thwart the plans of Anna’s family and destroy their plans for a financially advantageous marriage for the girl? Viewers will follow the turbulent fate of the couple in love from September 7 on Channel One.
“We are dealing with a misalliance, where a Polish aristocrat falls in love with a simple girl,” says Paweł Deląg in an interview with “Polonia 24”.
“My heroine is a woman of strong character. In the mid-19th century, she claims the right to happiness. It seems to me that if she lived in our times, she would be a warrior fighting for justice” – yes Olena Lavreniuk describes Anna in the “Polonia 24” program.
The script of the series was based on the novel “Melodia kaw w tonacji kardamon” by Natalia Gurnycka. The writer admits that she was inspired to write this story by the love stories of Zofia Jabłonowska and Aleksander Fredro.
The premiere of the first episode of the series “Kawa z kardamonem” will take place on Saturday, September 7, at 5:35 p.m. on TVP1. Subsequent parts will be broadcast at the same time every Saturday. Important information: the first episode of the production will be available for pre-premiere viewing on the TVP VOD platform from Saturday, August 31.
