First opportunity to meet special guests of this year's edition Mastercard OFF CAMERA 2024 Festival this Friday. During the Opening Gala, which will start at 8 p.m. at the Kijów Cinema in Krakow, guests will be personally welcomed by the creators of the film “Treasue”. Its European premiere will take place on April 26, 2024. Julia Von Heinz – director, Stephen Fry – an outstanding British actor playing one of the main roles, producer Mariusz Włodarski and production coordinator Michał Kiedrowicz – among others. they will appear on stage just before the show.
The star of the special screening of the film “Hard Candy” on April 27, Saturday, will be Patrick Wilson. An esteemed actor known for his roles in Broadway musicals and films such as “The Conjuring” or “Aquaman” and morally bold productions such as “Angels in America” and “Little Children”, which have permanently entered the canon of contemporary (pop) culture, will receive also the “Against the Current” award. It has been awarded since 2010 to people who have made particular contributions to independent cinema. Its winners in previous years included: David Thewlis, John Malkovich and Agnieszka Holland. Every day from Friday, April 26 to Sunday, May 5, Maks Behr will host OFF NA MAKSA talks – interviews with the stars of the Festival open to the public. This year, viewers will be able to listen to conversations with Dobromir Dymecki, Maciej Musiałowski, Katarzyna Gałązka, Helena Englert, Piotr Adamczyk, Anna Szymańczyk, Gabriela Muskała, Sebastian Dela, Magdalena Dwarzyńska, Piotr Żurawski, Mateusz Więcławek, Bogusława Schubert, Marta Nieradkiewicz, Magdalena Cielecka , Andrzej Seweryn, Jakub Zając, Paulina Walendziak, Jędrzej Bigosiński, Kamila Urzędowska, Iza Kuna, Katarzyna Warnke, Paweł Maślona, Bartosz Bielenia, Karolina Bruchnicka, Michał Sikorski, Magdalena Różczka and Jan Holoubek.
