For four years Wladyslaw Pasikowski he was silent. His previous film, “Dogs 3. In the Name of Principles”was well-received, but the third part of Franz Maurer’s story failed to repeat the success of the 1992 cult film “Dogs”. Now the creator of “Aftermath” returns to the set.
At the end of September, a film crew will arrive in Zgierz (Łódź Province) to shoot the film “Lycaons”. Information about the production has just appeared on the tuzgierz.pl website.
All we know about the film is that its action will take place in the 1980s and, as the website reports, “it will be a story inspired by real events with a conspiracy in the background.”
According to our information, she plays one of the roles (possibly the main one) in the film Zbigniew Zamachowskiwho had already collaborated with Władysław Pasikowski on paintings “The Demons of War According to Goya”, “Aftermath” Whether “Jack Strong”.
The film will also be shot in Podkarpacie, where the production received funding from the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund. The producer of the film “Likaony” is Wonder Films.

The Oscar-winning “Ida” by Paweł Pawlikowski and the new version of “Znachor”, produced by Netflix, were filmed in Zgierz. Scenes for the series “Belfer”, in which Maciej Stuhr played the main role, were also filmed in this city. Currently, Kinga Dębska’s new series “Gra z cieniem” is waiting for its premiere, which was filmed, among other places, on the streets of Zgierz.
Władysław Pasikowski is one of the most important Polish directors who started their career after 1989. His debut “Kroll” was the event of 1991. Whereas “Dogs” went down in the history of Polish cinema as a brutal reckoning with the previous regime. However, the creator has not managed to repeat the success of the first productions to this day.
