Pamela Anderson joins the cast of the new “The Naked Gun”. Back on screens

“The Naked Gun” was a full-length continuation of the 1982 series “Special Brigade”. The film focused on Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen), a police lieutenant whose appearance heralds chaos and destruction. Incompetent and completely unaware of his numerous flaws, the law enforcement officer is assigned the mission of protecting Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the United States. It won't be easy, not least because of Frank's incompetence. The villainous businessman Vincent Ludwig (Ricardo Montalbán) is trying to kill the monarch.

In 2021, there was information that Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the series “Family Family” and the movie “Ted”, took over the reboot of “The Naked Gun”. A year later, it was announced that the film would be directed by Akiva Schaffer, a comedian associated with the group “The Lonely Island”. Liam Neeson was officially cast as Drebin. MacFarlane remained as producer.

As reported by Deadline, Canadian actress Pamela Anderson has joined the cast of the new “The Naked Gun”. This will be the great return of the “Baywatch” star to the screens. Anderson has not appeared very often in film or series productions in recent years. In 2022, she appeared in the little-known film “Alone at Night”. Last year, a documentary was released on Netflix revealing the behind-the-scenes of the actress's private life – “Pamela: A Love Story”. Her last significant role was in 2017, when she appeared in the film version of the series hit that made her a star, “Baywatch”.

The “Naked Gun” reboot is scheduled to debut in theaters on July 18, 2025.
