Following the success of their previous collaboration on the Gibson ’78 Les Paul Custom, Noel Gallagher and Gibson have unveiled a new limited edition – Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard. The guitar was originally designed for the Oasis Live ’25 tour, and its first series consisted of only 25 collector’s pieces. Now, as announced by the manufacturer, the instrument will be available for wider distribution.
According to the official description, the model was created to – as we read – “capture the sound, atmosphere and aesthetics of the 90s, and at the same time bring them into the present day”. This is a clear reference to the golden era of Britpop, in which Oasis defined the sound of a generation.

Technical mastery and classic style
The new Les Paul Standard is crafted from a solid mahogany body with no weight relief, a maple top and a mahogany neck with the SlimTaper profile favored by Gallagher himself. A rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays completes the classic look.
The instrument is equipped with an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatic precision tuners and black Top Hats knobs with silver reflectors. The sound is provided by unique Gibson P-90 Soapbar pickups, which – as the manufacturer emphasizes – provide the characteristic warmth and rawness known from Oasis recordings.
Each piece has a reproduction of Gallagher’s signature on the back of the headstock and is sold in a protective hard case.
“Too iconic not to share”
Lee Bartram, Gibson’s head of marketing for the EMEA region, admitted that the decision to re-release the guitar was a natural one.
“This guitar is simply too iconic and too cool not to be made more widely available to fans. Noel’s original model was the first guitar he played at the greatest rock ‘n’ roll reunion of the 21st century. The Gibson USA version captures that moment while preserving his musical legacy,” Bartram told Gibson.com.
As the company emphasizes, the new edition “opens a new chapter in the iconic collaboration” between Gallagher and Gibson. The guitar is available in limited quantities in authorized showrooms and at Gibson Garage in London and Nashville.
Oasis’ musical legacy endures
The premiere of the instrument coincided with the ongoing Oasis Live ’25 tour, during which the band celebrates its return after many years. The Australian stage started on October 31 in Melbourne and will end in South America, where Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs is expected to return to the team after completing treatment for prostate cancer.
In Asia, the guitarist was replaced by Mike Moore from the Liam Gallagher Band, but as Bonehead himself announced, “it’s a matter of time before he returns to the stage”.
Speculations about possible Oasis concerts in Great Britain – at Knebworth, Wembley or Etihad Stadium in Manchester – continue. Liam Gallagher fueled the rumors by saying to the Wembley crowd:
“Champagne Supernova, see you next year.”
30 years of “Wonderwall” and further plans
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic single “Wonderwall”, the band plans to release a special box set “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?” in 7″ vinyl format. Additionally, the Epiphone brand – owned by Gibson – announced the launch of guitars inspired by the instruments of Gem Archer and Bonehead.
All this means that Oasis’ return is taking an increasingly complete shape – both musically and symbolically. And the latest Les Paul Standard becomes not only an instrument, but also a manifesto of nostalgia and new energy of British rock.
