Nick Cave in Łódź. This is what the concert at Atlas Arena looked like (PHOTOS)

Before the star of the evening appeared on the Łódź stage, the audience was warmed up by the British post-punk band Dry Cleaning. Then came The Bad Seeds with Nick Cave. As is the case on tours promoting new releases, in Łódź, songs from “Wild God” were mixed with the core repertoire.

The ominous “Tupelo”, the delightful finale “Jubilee Street” and at the very end the classic “Into My Arms”, performed with a four-person choir.

Cave, known for his excellent contact with fans, “swam” in the crowd again. Interestingly, before the concert, the artist walked around Łódź, as reported by the city’s official Instagram profile. On October 11, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will perform in Krakow at Tauron Arena.

Nick Cave about the new album

“There’s a deep sense of unease there, as there is in all my records, but yet very joyful moments constantly emerge. Regardless of our inner despair, we – as people and the world – remain beautiful. No matter how bad it looks, we still do beautiful things. And that’s the feeling this album brings me,” said Nick Cave about the album “Wild God” in an interview for “MOJO”.

The album “Wild God” is an expression of a more positive attitude to reality, which is a significant contrast compared to his previous projects, which were filled with pain and sadness after the loss of his son in 2015. Working on the 2019 album “Ghosteen”. almost ended The Bad Seeds’ three-decade existence.
