Empik presented the sales results of music albums from its network for the first half of 2024. The data concerns only Empik stores. During this period, the Polish artist dominated the sales charts SanahHer latest album, “Kaprysy”, released in June, dominated sales charts in all provinces. Sanah’s second album, “Bankiet u Sanah”, also made it to the podium, taking third place among CDs.

The success of “Kaprysy” was immediate. In just two weeks, the album climbed to the top of the list of the most popular premieres of this year.
“The artist has managed to connect generations with her music, and her albums reach a very wide audience,” said Dominik Sadowski, head of the Music department at Empik.
Vinyl: Myslovitz reissue of “Love in the Times of Pop Culture” achieves great result
Among vinyls, the top five is opened by ““The Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd. The second place went to the reissue of the album Myslovitz “Love in the Times of Pop Culture”. Even though it is not a new product, and a special edition of the album released 25 years ago, it achieved great sales results.
“Polish music sells very well, it is worth celebrating such anniversaries and reminding listeners of the achievements of our creators” – assessed Dominik Sadowski.

What about the results for the pop, rock and hip-hop genres?
In category popin addition to Sanah and Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande and Dawid Kwiatkowski also ranked high.
IN rock Mark Knopfler dominates, followed by Judas Priest, Organek, Pearl Jam and Sokołowski. It is worth noting that the average stage experience of the top five performers is 33 years, which indicates a great dedication of fans of heavy sounds.
IN hip-hop Chivas, Mortal, Kękę, Otsochodzi and Donguralesko dominate.
