The first AirTag debuted in Apple’s offer in 2021. We had to wait almost five years for the 2nd generation of this small device. The premiere is behind us and we know the Polish prices. Let’s see what new the company has introduced in the latest version of the gadget.
Polish prices for the 2nd generation Apple Airtag locator
The prices of the new Apple locator are basically unchanged. AirTag 2nd Generation costs $29 in the United States. However, in Poland, due to the weaker dollar exchange rate, this time the amounts are slightly lower.
Again, it is more profitable to buy the whole set, because then one piece costs about PLN 125. Provided, of course, that someone needs that many locators. For comparison, a similar Samsung device () costs slightly more, because .
The new AirTag is now available for sale and can be ordered on the manufacturer’s website. It will soon be available for purchase from partners. Engraving remains free, but this option is only available when placing an order through the official Apple online store.
The new AirTag 2nd generation introduces various new features
AirTag 2nd generation looks very similar to the previous version of the locator. This does not change the fact that Apple has decided to make various improvements that are simply not visible to the naked eye.
It deserves special attention. Apple claims that the new AirTag is in this respect compared to the 2021 gadget. The second-generation ultra-wideband chip is responsible for this. The same one that is in iPhone 17 smartphones or Apple Watch series 11 watches. Then we have a refreshed one. There is a newer Bluetooth device under the housing, which positively affects the overall range of the device.
Apple did not decide on a built-in battery. Again, it is a replaceable CR2032 (included in the set) and one is intended to enable the locator to operate for over a year. The gadget provides protection against water and dust at the IP67 level.
