According to Scott, the director’s cut “Napoleon” was supposed to last 4 hours and 10 minutes. It would be almost 90 minutes longer than the film that hit theaters in November 2023. The director announced that his last production in the extended version would be something “fantastic”.
In April this year, journalist Jordan Ruimy was supposed to hear about the decision from representatives of the Apple+ platform. However, he did not learn the reasons for it. He also could not determine whether the extended version of “Napoleon” was completely scrapped or only moved in time. It turns out that the film unexpectedly made it to the Apple TV+ platform. However, it will be slightly shorter – 48 minutes were added to the theatrical version. The entire director’s cut lasts 3 hours 25 minutes.
