Lady Jane Grey ruled England for nine days (in “My Lady Jane” presents an alternative history of the Tudor dynasty.), and a moment later she ended up quite badly. Fortunately, a different fate awaits her in the series. In the new version, Edward, the son of Henry VIII, enjoys good health, and Jane (Emily Bader) awaits a completely different fate than the one known from history books. And since the stories of these heroes turned out completely differently, their the future began to look bright.
Grey unexpectedly becomes the Queen of England, which makes her a large group of enemies. But that’s not even the tip of the iceberg – her mother (played by Anna Cancellor), who loves to plot and scheme, Mary (Kate O’Flynn), who is striving for power, and a loved one who hides at least one big secret (Edward Bluemel).
My Lady Jane is based on the novel of the same title by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows. In addition to the adventures of Jane Grey, the ladies have changed the fate of other historical figures in their books – the entire series currently has six volumes.
As with other prematurely canceled shows, fans of the series are hoping that through petitions or social media campaigns, they will convince Prime Video to change its mind. If it fails, there is still the possibility that another streaming platform will take an interest in the initiative and renew the title for a second season. There is evidence over the years that such actions bring results.. Prime renewed “The Expanse” a few years ago, which was canceled after three seasons, Netflix – “Lucifer” and “Girls5eva”. After FOX canceled it, the now iconic “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (aired on NBC) received new episodes. NBC also saved “True Detective from Hawaii” by renewing it for two seasons after CBS ended production.
Emily Bader fans will soon be able to see in a new Netflix movie. Film “People We Meet On Vacation” is based on the bestselling novel by Emily Henry, whose Polish title is: “People We Meet on Vacation”. The main roles will be played by Tom Blyth (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Birds and Snakes”) and Emily Bader (“My Lady Jane”).
The book tells the story of Poppy and Alex. Despite their differences, they have been friends for years. They live in different cities, but spend every holiday together. Until a while. At some point, their relationship is put to the test. They stop talking to each other for two years. Poppy decides to fight for Alex and regain his trust.
