“Matilda” tells a story eighteen-year-old Matylda Bilińska, who went to a girls' boarding school. However, the teenager cannot come to terms with the owner of the boarding house and has no intention of subordinating herself to her. The rebellious girl decides to run away. After leaving the facility, he wants to live in a landed estate that belongs to him to friends of her father, a participant in the January Uprising.
The series “Matilda” is happening in the realities of 19th century Poland, which is under partition. As a result, in production we have the opportunity to observe a whole cross-section of social classes, starting from peasants and ending with the aristocracy. A young girl rebels against the prevailing order and decides to fight for her honor and love.
Boden arrives at the mansion at the request of Isabella and Michał. He has to check his condition Rubin injured after the brawl. When the injured party regains consciousness, he calls Dr. Schellman. Izabella and Michał they try to convince him that the man fell from his horsebut they are not convinced.
Robert Boden wants to convince Matilda to escape from the palace to a place where she will be safe. Girl he refuses, explaining that he wants to complete Michał's plan. However, the man is afraid that he will become as bad as Rubin.
At the same time Tadeusz Biliński appears in Lublin, where he meets Zachar. Men argue and eventually a fight breaks out between them. Tadeusz kills Zachar, but also kills himself gets hurt.
Then he goes to Madame Kretochkin's pension, pretends to be a journalist and asks about Matilda. However, the woman is suspicious and calls the police. Biliński escapes from his salary thanks to the help of Misia, who once lived in the same room with Matylda.
Thanks to the help of Helena and Witold, Adam manages to get out of bed. Aleksandra, on the other hand, is extremely excited about her wedding with Sokołów. Rubin brings up the topic of his grandson again. Michał, Izabella and Ignacy state that Wanda Bilińska, who is staying in… almshouse, it's Matilda's mother. The men decide to rescue the woman.
Wicher is persuaded by Zbych to go to America. Apart from that repeats rumors about Ada and her relationship with Rubin. The man treats Ada extremely brutally. However, he becomes truly furious when he learns that Biliński showed up at Madame Kretochkin's boarding school.
At night, Michał, Boden and Ignacy go to the shelter where Wanda is. However, there is some confusion in the process, which results in: Ignacy is mortally wounded, and Michał is arrested. Bilińska, however, disappears without a trace.
