Maryla Rodowicz is an undisputed legend of Polish music. Her hits such as “Sing Sing”, “Małgosia”,“It’s actually not bad”, “Long live the ball” Whether “It’s already happened”known to generations of Poles.
The singer has been present on the stage since 1962 and is still professionally active. She is currently preparing to release a new album, which will feature her iconic songs in new versions, arranged for duets.

Now Maryla Rodowicz has presented another song promoting the album. This time she chose a duet with David Kwiatkowskiwith whom she performed the song“Big Water”.
“When I listened to Dawid’s arrangement for the first time, I was a bit surprised. I thought that I was missing a strong part, the guitars… And first I asked, what is it?” – said the star in an interview with o2. “But then I got really into it and fell in love with this arrangement. It moves me very, very much,” she added.
“I chose ‘Wielka Woda’ for my duet because I didn’t really see any other choice. It’s my favorite song from Maryla’s repertoire. A song that once touched me very much. I just dreamed that no one would ‘take over’ this number, because I know that “Maryla had already talked to other artists and arranged duets. I remember going to our meeting and saying to myself, if only it was the song ‘Wielka Woda’,” he commented. Dawid Kwiatkowski.

This was not the first collaboration between Maryla Rodowicz and Dawid Kwiatkowski. In 2019, they sang together the song “Shallow”, originally sung by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, on TV. Then the listeners didn’t really like the effect, and the recording became an internet hit, unfortunately in the negative sense of the word.
